Our productions include:

· THE WOMAN WITH THE HUNGRY EYES - A feature length documentary on film's first great femme-fatale, Theda Bara, the original movie vampire. Narrated by Hugh Munro Neely, with Dana Delany as the voice of Theda Bara. Timeline Films is pleased to announce that our film: "The Woman with the Hungry Eyes: The Life and Films of Theda Bara" is now available by streaming video on Fandor.com. The entire 100-minute feature documentary film can be viewed for free as part of a 14-day free trial program, or as part of an unlimited monthly subscription. Renowned actress Dana Delany is the voice of Theda Bara. Andi Hicks produced the film, which is directed by Hugh Munro Neely. After several years on the festival circuit, this is its first commercial release! The Woman with the Hungry Eyes is the story of the screen's "champ vamp," Theda Bara, and features interviews with many historians and writers, including Eve Golden, Ron Genini, Robert Birchard, Molly Haskell, Bram Dykstra, Joseph Yranski, and others. It covers Theda's life from her childhood in Cincinnati through her years in bit parts in the theatre, and her stunning emergence with 1915's "A Fool There Was" as a full-fledged star. Bara's career was short, primarily from 1915 to 1919, with the coda of two films from 1925-26. Her influence on popular culture, however, was huge. Her marriage, at the age of 35, to director Charles Brabin, and her long life as a Beverly Hills hostess creates and almost unusual picture of a successful retirement that is rare in this volatile industry. The documentary features clips from every film and newsreel of Ms. Bara, including the rare surviving clip from her lost version of "Cleopatra" (1917), which is on AFI's list of most-wanted lost films. Also included are clips from "The Stain" (1914), "A Fool There Was" (1915), "East Lynne" (1916), "The Unchastened Woman" (1925), and "Madame Mystery" (1926) as well as a newsreel and a clip from an episode of "Screen Snapshots." But just as important, the film features hundreds of rare still photographs, including production stills from many of her most famous film roles.
